Lift Operator

DEPARTMENT:  Shipping and Receiving

REPORTS TO:  S&R Manager

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt / Hourly

STATUS:  Full Time

The primary role of the Lift Operator loads and un-loads truck, maintains inventor, picks orders for shipping and maintains documentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Is responsible for shipping and receiving documentation to include HACCP, QC and Ross paperwork as applicable to the position.
  • Will participate in and is responsible for conducting inventory counts of finished goods, packaging materials and ingredients as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Manager.
  • Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues. Is responsible for ensuring proper packaging, coding, label and pallet configuration of shipments.
  • Will monitor and report on food safety issues when perceived. Will conduct themselves in a safe manner during all activities and advise supervision of any safety issues. Should continually monitor the facility for security measures or breeches.
  • Bulk Receiving (tankers)
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • Order Selecting
  • Rotating Finished Product

  • Cover for other employees on PTO

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. May be required to stoop and or climb as needed.
  • Must be fork lift qualified. Able to operate all equipment on the dock to include all lifts, the shrink-wrapper, baler, etc.

Blender

DEPARTMENT:  Production

REPORTS TO:  Production Manager

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt / Hourly

STATUS:  Full Time

The primary role of the Blender is to formulate and mix all blended products within quality and safety guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Accurately picks, measures and blends formulas using standard operating procedures and GMPs.
  • Operates blenders, mixers, cookers and ancillary equipment without direction and within SOP and process guidelines.
  • Ensures proper lot coding, prepares samples for lab testing and works closely with packaging to ensure timely preparation.
  • Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues.
  • Monitors and reports on food safety issues when perceived.
  • Maintains accurate records and paperwork.

Qualifications: 

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be fork lift qualified (training available)
  • Able to lift 50lb bags and pails
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Prior blending experience preferred
  • MUST have experience in making emulsified products
  • Flexible Work Schedule

Retail Line

DEPARTMENT:  Production

REPORTS TO:  Production Management

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt / Hourly

STATUS:  Full Time

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Dumps, packs, stacks, inspects and functions as a member of a production line.
  • Reports to work timely, clean and ready for his/her shift. Follows all GMPS and company rules as depicted in the employee handbook and SOPs.
  • Works 8 hours/day and reports at a pre-determined time. Receives a 30 minute non-paid lunch.  Required to use time clock to punch in and out.  May require overtime as needed.
  • Reports to work freshly bathed and utilizes issued uniforms. Sends uniforms out for cleaning through our service as soiled.  Washes hands frequently and uses gloves as depicted in the GMPs. Hair nets and beard nets are required.
  • Polices work area and machinery as needed. Maintains a clean work area by sweeping, mopping floors, and wiping down machinery as needed and at the end of shift.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. May be required to stoop and or climb as needed.
  • Is able to operate simple production line equipment with supervision. Shall operate coders and labelers. Assists in line change-overs and set-ups.
  • Will monitor and report on food safety issues when perceived. Will conduct themselves in a safe manner during all activities and advise supervisor of any safety issues. Should continually monitor the facility for security measures or breeches.
  • May be called to assist other departments in inventory, cleaning, loading and un-loading trucks etc.
  • Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues. Is responsible to insure proper packaging, coding, label and pallet configuration of shipments. Is responsible for all HACCP, quality and production documentation applicable to the position.

Qualifications: 

To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Should be able to operate packaging machinery, set-up coders and labelers
  • Knowledge of GMPs, HAACP, quality and production procedures
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to follow company guidelines and work with peers to achieve the overall goals of the company.

Machine Operator

DEPARTMENT:  Production

REPORTS TO:  Production Manager

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt / Hourly

STATUS:  Full Time

Machine Operator operates production machinery in addition to normal production line activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Is able to operate production line equipment without supervision. Shall operate coders and labelers. Assists in line change-overs and set-ups.
