Tulkoff's Green Initiatives
Tulkoff Food Products, Inc is a food manufacturing facility based out of Baltimore, Maryland that strives to demonstrate environmental responsibility throughout the manufacturing process.
Tulkoff is always looking for new ways to practice environmental responsibility. In 2008, Tulkoff Food Products, Inc. moved into a new food manufacturing facility in Baltimore, MD. While in the developmental stage of the building, Tulkoff made a conscious effort to use building materials that would decrease thermal load that affects the heat island effect found in many urban cities. A continuous flow process was put into place to reduce energy consumption and warehouse storage areas were designed to decrease energy lost to the atmosphere. Tulkoff has also implemented a recycling program at the company that includes office materials as well as packaging from the manufacturing process. We partner with Sustainable Forestry Initiative corrugate companies as well as purchase packaging from green companies with sustainable practices. And this is just the beginning. Tulkoff continues to make green practices a priority, looking for even more ways to recycle and incorporate green initiatives into the manufacturing process.
