Frequently Asked Questions about the Tulkoff Copack Process
Tulkoff understands that with each co packing project, many questions arise throughout the process. Here are some general questions and answers to help you with the beginning stages of your product development process.
Q: What types of products does Tulkoff co pack?
A: We primarily co pack barbeque sauces, seafood sauces, hot sauces, dressings, marinades, and vinaigrettes. We also pack ingredients such as horseradish and garlic.
Q: Is Tulkoff a kosher facility?
A: Yes. Both of our locations (California and Maryland) are Orthodox Union certified facilities. We can work with you to make your product kosher. Please note a nominal yearly fee applies to the certification of kosher items.
Q: How long does the co pack process take?
A: Every product is its own project. Certain factors such as having a production formula can shorten your process while other factors, such as custom ingredient requirements, can lengthen the time. Your individual timeline will be discussed and reviewed in your consultation.
Q: What are your typical minimum orders?
A: When using inventoried ingredients and packaging, the minimum is 800 gallons. Special ingredients and/or packaging may affect your minimums. This information will be conveyed to you early in the process.
Q: Does Tulkoff require a recipe for product development?
A: No. We offer research and development services at a reasonable price to create a production formula. However, having a recipe/production formula will increase turnaround time.
Q: What type of packaging does Tulkoff use?
A: We can package your products in a variety of retail, food service, and industrial containers. Our standard capabilities range from 5 oz glass to 400 lb fiber drums.
