Ingredients

1 bunch Asparagus

1 bowl Ice water

1 pinch Salt

3 1/2 tsp Tulkoff’s Chopped Garlic in Oil

Grated Parmesan, to taste

Salt and Pepper, to taste

Directions

Begin by cutting off the tough bottoms of the asparagus spears.

Prepare a large bowl of ice water and set aside. Boil a pot of water that is large enough to hold the full bunch of asparagus and add salt. Once the water is boiling, place the asparagus in the water for approximately one minute, then remove and place immediately in the ice water. Let the asparagus sit and cool off for a few minutes, then remove it and pat it dry.

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the Garlic In Oil. If the pan needs additional oil, add olive oil until the base of the pan is coated. Add the asparagus and cook uncovered for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and encourage even sautéing. If well done asparagus is desired, continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes.

Once the asparagus is tender to your taste, remove and sprinkle with grated Parmesan and season with salt and pepper.
