This summer, the Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP) brought teachers focusing on career and technical education (CTE) from Baltimore County Public Schools inside local manufacturing operations to provide some firsthand industry knowledge. Maryland Manufacturing Advisory Board, which advises the state’s secretary of commerce, joined as an organizer on the effort. Approximately 30 middle and high school CTE teachers toured Tulkoff Food Products as well as four other local manufacturers as part of the Teacher Manufacturing Boot Camp.

Baltimore, MD (June 12th, 2019)Tulkoff Food Products, Inc. is proud to announce the launch of Chesapeake Sauce™, the newest addition to their foodservice flavored mayonnaise product line. The Baltimore-based manufacturer describes the product as the only manufactured sauce offered to operators that captures the true essence and unique one-of-kind flavors of Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay.

Tulkoff’s Chesapeake Sauce™ was born out of the kitchen of the Calvert House Inn a Maryland restaurant known worldwide for their Maryland-style crab cakes. The sauce was originally created so that when used for crab cakes, it only requires the sauce, a filler (typically bread crumbs) and crab meat. The product contains freshly made mayonnaise and a proprietary blend of bold seafood seasoning commonly known and recognized to the Maryland region.

“We are a Maryland based company, we know the flavors of our Maryland foodservice operators, but we also recognize that our region’s flavor profile is recognized across the country and world and we wanted to share this. This sauce really brings the essence of what Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay flavor is all about, a sweet, salty and seafood seasoning filled sauce that is capable of going beyond crab cakes and into different menu items and dayparts,” said Ruth Madison, Director of Sales & Marketing. “Our Chesapeake Sauce™, allows operators to easily bring the authentic flavors of Maryland into their menu offerings through an easy-to-use flavored mayonnaise. We have seen this products success in c-store foodservice all the way up to fine dining and everything in between. Whether it’s used as a dip, a sandwich or burger spread or simply a mayonnaise replacement to a summer salad, it’s a versatile product with an authentic Maryland flavor profile we are proud of.”

Tulkoff’s Chesapeake Sauce™ is OU kosher, trans-fat free, does not contain gluten, high fructose corn syrup, or trans fats. The product is sold in a 4/1 gallon pack size with a 6 month refrigerated shelf life. For information on where the product is sold, contact Info@tulkoff.com.

Tulkoff’s flavored mayonnaise product line currently consists of Spicy Chipotle Chili Aioli, Creamy Horseradish Sauce, Extra Bold Horseradish Sauce, Spicy Kimchi Aioli, Garlic Aioli, Kickin’ Dippin’ Sauce® and Spicy Jalapeño Aioli.
