POSITION TITLE:  HR Manager

Schedule: M-F, 8:00-4:30

Supervisor: CFO

Pay Rate: Negotiable, Exempt

Primary Responsibilities:  Tulkoff Food Products is seeking a self-motivated candidate to take over HR Management of their East and West Coast manufacturing locations. This position is located at our Baltimore, MD office and will not require travel.

Brief Description: The HR Manager is responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of employee benefits including enrollments, COBRA, Cafeteria Programs, and 401k administration.
  • Maintaining personnel files and all related documents.
  • Maintaining and revising the employee handbook.
  • Administering employee incentive and recognition programs.
  • Assisting in the acquisition of new employees by posting ads, screening applicants, and          managing new hire orientation.
  • Assisting employees with various issues, such as medical bills, 401k loans, etc.
  • Managing garnishments, workman’s compensation claims, unemployment claims, new hires, and terminations.
  • Assuring compliance with Affordable Care Act, FLSA, FMLA, USERRA, ADA, EEOC,    CA and MD labor laws and all other employment related laws.
  • Administering all employee health care programs including self funded Medical,   Voluntary Life, Disability, Vision, Dental, Aflac and Flex plan.

Qualifications:

Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field and 2-3 years experience in HR field. A substantial amount of related field experience may be substituted in place of a Bachelor’s Degree for the right candidate. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

 

POSITION TITLE:  Quality Assurance Associate

LOCATION:                  Baltimore, MD

DEPARTMENT:          Quality Control

REPORTS TO:             Quality Systems Manager

CLASSIFICATION:    Exempt

STATUS:                       Full Time

The Quality Assurance Associate will work with the Quality Technicians to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards and / or customer specifications. The Quality Assurance Associate will work within the Quality Standards and Guidelines established by Tulkoff Food Products.

Primary Responsibilities: The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assure compliance with Corporate Quality Policies and Procedures and as well as Federal, State and Local Regulations.
  • Work with Quality Systems Manager to ensure compliancy with Internal, Third Party and Regulatory Audits.
  • Maintain laboratory supply inventory and calibrations
  • Provide a visible presence on the production floor and warehouse fostering and maintaining a strong working relationship with all departments.
  • Provide production support to include, but not be limited to, investigation of root cause and corrective actions, trouble shooting, and material disposition.
  • Work with production team in standardizing formulas, processes and specifications.
  • Provide information on finished product quality standards as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control Technicians in their efforts to ensure product compliance.
  • Develop the Quality Control Technicians by assisting training and trouble shooting.
  • Generate and distribute reports as needed.
  • Assist and relieve lab technician as needed (vacation, sickness, etc).
  • Monitor and report on product / customer quality requirements
  • Analyze lab data to ensure all products meet specification or have been approved before shipment.
  • Maintain Quality Hold Warehouse in ERP System.
  • Monitor and maintain Retention Sampling Program for lab controls and shelf life samples.
  • Monitor and report on food safety compliance.
  • Monitor and report on food / facility security.
  • Monitor HACCP program
  • Monitor pre-requisite programs (GMP’s, pest control, sanitation inspections, etc)
  • Work with the NPD Team for a smooth transition from test kitchen to production floor as it relates to processes, procedures and specifications.
  • Assist Lead investigator on Root Cause and Corrective actions of Customer Complaints.
  • Meet or exceed Customer Qualification Requirements.

Qualifications To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related technical field.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peer groups and all levels of the company.
  • Primarily a first shift position, with flexibility to cover early or late shifts as required to cover for Technicians.

 

POSITION TITLE:    Line Worker

LOCATION:                Baltimore, MD

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt

STATUS:                    Full Time

SHIFT:  7:00a.m.-3:30p.m. 30 minute lunch

Primary Responsibilities: The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Job Description: Entry Level Position

Performs variety of tasks involving repetitive work on a variety of lines such as:

Dumps, Packs, Stacks, Inspects

Assists in policing and maintaining line in safe and sanitary condition.  Washes lines down as required. Set up and maintain date coders under direction of line leaders.   All other duties as assigned.

POSITION TITLE:   Industrial Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

LOCATION:                  Baltimore, MD

DEPARTMENT:           120000 / Maintenance

REPORTS TO:              Maintenance Manager

CLASSIFICATION:    Non-Exempt

STATUS:                       Full Time


The primary role of the Industrial Maintenance Technician is to carry out accurate and efficient production line changeovers as well as machine trouble-shooting, repairs, and critical equipment breakdown maintenance to ensure maximum asset availability.

Primary Responsibilities: The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Follows pre-established guidelines for making timely, consistent and accurate repairs and completes all required paperwork associated with repairs
  • Performs high quality maintenance work in accordance with written procedures and SOPs
  • Troubleshoots AC variable frequency drives, AC & DC motors, DC drives, and other motor control circuits
  • Troubleshoots discrete and analog sensors including pressure, temperature, flow, photo-electric, and inductive proximity, as well as PLCs and PLC controlled systems and machines
  • Diagnoses and repairs gearboxes, bearings, pumps and other mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Participates in new equipment installation, validation and start up processes
  • Shares knowledge and identifies new opportunities for transferring skills to operators as needed. Actively participates in continuous processing improvements and learning opportunities

Qualifications: To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional machinery troubleshooting, root cause, and corrective action skills
  • Experience with food processing and packaging machinery preferred
  • Food manufacturing GMP experience preferred
  • Allen Bradley experience preferred (CompactLogix, SLC 500, PV+, etc.)

 


POSITION TITLE: INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- Pittsburg, CA

POSITION TITLE: BATCHER- Pittsburg, CA
The primary rol of the batcher is to formulate and mix all blended products within quality and safety guidelines

Primary Responsibilities: The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Accurately picks, measures and blends formulas using standard operating procedures and GMPs.
  • Operates blenders, mixers, cookers and ancillary equipment without direction and within SOP and process guidelines.
  • Ensures proper lot coding, prepares samples for lab testing and works closely with packaging to ensure timely preparation.
  • Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues.
  • Monitors and reports on food safety issues when perceived.
  • Maintains accurate records and paperwork.

Qualifications: To be eligible for this position, candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Must be fork lift qualified (training available)
  • Able to lift 50lb bags and pails
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Prior blending experience preferred
  • Flexible Work Schedule

 

POSITION TITLE: SHIPPING AND RECEIVING CLERK- Pittsburg, CA
The primary role of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk loads and un-loads truck, maintains inventory, picks orders for shipping and maintains documentation.

Primary Responsibilities: The duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Is responsible for shipping and receiving documentation to include HACCP, QC and Ross paperwork as applicable to the position.
  • Will participate in and is responsible for conducting inventory counts of finished goods, packaging materials and ingredients as directed by the Shipping and Receiving Manager.
  • Continually monitors product quality and advises supervision of quality issues. Is responsible for ensuring proper packaging, coding, label and pallet configuration of shipments.
  • Will monitor and report on food safety issues when perceived. Will conduct themselves in a safe manner during all activities and advise supervision of any safety issues. Should continually monitor the facility for security measures or breeches.
