Tulkoff included in short film exploring food production in Ohio during the pandemic

Tulkoff Food Products, Inc.’s Cincinnati location was recently included in a short documentary film exploring how the Ohio food industry was impacted by the pandemic. The film, #essential- the untold story of the Ohio food industry and the pandemic by the Center for Innovative Food Technology (CIFT) will premiere online August 26th at 2:00PM.

“This is the story of an industry that adapted, helped, and overcame challenges to keep everyone fed and workers safe. And it is a story that we are proud to tell,” according to CIFT.

CIFT is a developer and provider of technical innovations and solutions for the food processing, agribusiness and agricultural sectors of the economy in Ohio and beyond. CIFT is an affiliate of the Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Ohio) MEP program, designed to help small to mid-sized manufacturers in Ohio become leaders in their industry.

“Because of our work at CIFT, we had a front row seat to the choices and challenges the people who keep us fed had to face and make. What we witnessed amazed us and filled us with pride for our industry. This is a story that needs to be told. And because of our unique position serving the state of Ohio we decided to create a documentary short to give the public a glimpse behind their grocery shelves and take out packages.”

Jordan Gershberg, VP of Operations at Tulkoff Cincinnati is featured in the film and discusses the impact on Tulkoff’s business and some of the lessons learned.

To watch the premiere, visit CIFT’s Facebook or YouTube pages on August 26th. The film will be followed by a live Q&A from those involved in making and participating in the film.
