Not only is this treat easy to make, your house will smell amazing while it bakes!
2 1/3 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
¾ cup hot water
½ cup butter, room temperature
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp Tulkoff Ginger Puree
1 tsp cinnamon
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 in square baking pan. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl; beat on the low speed of an electric mixer until ingredients are combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl and increase mixer speed to medium. Beat for 2-3 minutes longer.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Cut into squares and serve with freshly whipped cream.
For leftover gingerbread, warm slightly in the microwave for 15 to 20 seconds before serving.
