Local Food Manufacturer to host Governor Martin O’Malley, to highlight EARN (Employment Advancement Right Now) Initiative
Baltimore, MD September 20th, 2013
Tulkoff Food Products, Inc. will host Governor Martin O’Malley, on Monday, September 23,2013 from 10:00AM-11:00AM as he highlights the EARN (Employment Advancement Right Now) job training initiative- a joint effort with members of the Maryland General Assembly to create industry-led regional job creation and workforce development partnerships that help to identify workforce needs for high-demand occupations such as construction, traditional and advance manufacturing, cyber security, and heath care; and develop and implement education or training strategies to address those shortages.
“We are honored to have been chosen to host the Governor’s visit to further discuss how industry partnerships will be used to work together to apply for the EARN program funding. Manufacturers like Tulkoff’s and organizations like the Maryland Manufacturing extension partnership (MEP) are a prime example of how industry and organizational partnerships will work together to develop the most efficient and effective ways to use the EARN funding,” said Philip Tulkoff, President of Tulkoff Food Products, Inc.
